What is the weather like in Ecuador year-round?
Ecuador has two seasons: humid and dry. However, weather differs between the four regions (Coast, Highlands, the Galapagos Islands, and the Amazon). Usually, the Amazon and the coastal region are warmer and more humid, while the highlands are cooler at night and sunny during the day.
When is the best time to visit Ecuador?
Ecuador has excellent weather all year, making it a great travel destination and a perfect place to visit anytime. Its location on the Equator helps stabilize the year-round temperature. Therefore, the country has two seasons: dry (from May to December) and wet (late December through April). Choosing when to visit Ecuador depends on what the adventurers want to do and where. The Andes highlands have spring-like conditions all year; the Amazon region is hot, humid, and wet year-round, and the coastal area can be dry and wet, depending on the month.
